Dr. Andrew Sakla, DO is a physician at AMA Medical Group. Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Sakla completed medical school at Nova Southeastern University in south Florida before finishing his internal medicine residency at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida.
Dr. Sakla is a member of The American Osteopathic Association and The American College of Osteopathic Internists. Before working with AMA, Dr. Sakla completed a three week missionary trip to Nairobi, Kenya where he helped provide care for civilians of all age groups. He specializes in trigger point injection and helps conduct diabetic teachings, weight loss education, as well as smoking cessation education.
Dr. Sakla spent his childhood in Chicago, Illinois after moving with his family from Egypt. He also attended The University of Illinois before moving to Florida to pursue his medical education with Nova Southeastern. Dr. Sakla enjoys contributing to his community by volunteering for St. Mary & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church where he also competes in a basketball and soccer organization. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and bringing his two Labradors to the park.
